Installing Oracle Client

in Database Install/Upgrade/Opatch (MOSC) 1 commentAnswered ✓

I downloaded Oracle Database 19c from the Oracle website and have successfully installed it on my computer, Windows 10 OS. The Oracle DB is the backend and the front-end is MS Access (32 bit). I need to set up the DSN; however there is not odbcad32.exe file found in the SysWOW64 directory. I am led to understand that this should come standard with a Windows install but it is not there; in fact, I find there are no odbc files found in the folder. On a different coumputer I find many of these files.

Would an Oracle Client install include these files? If so how would I do so? I have tried downloading a package "instantclient-basic-nt-21.3.0.0.0.zip from Oracle at oracle.com/database/technologies/instant-client/microsoft-windows-32-downloads.html but I have not been able to figure out how to install from there. It's been a few weeks since I attempted this but, if I remember correctly, I could not find an install.exe file on the disk, but I may be wrong. All I know for sure is that I was not able to figure out how to install the files.
