Hi.

Production DB: ASM/RAC/DATAGUARD to Auxiliary DB (Dev/Test) ASM/RAC Duplication.

I have run an existing script for our system that was meant to duplicate the production database to a Dev/Test (not standby) database. The production is RAC/ASM/Dataguard. Dev/Test is RAC/ASM. we have multiple database and the ASM for production is +DATA1_P/DATABASE/... example ([+DATA1_P/ERPDEVL/DATAFILE]). The auxiliary Database (Dev/Test) is on another server then production and its ASM look like [+DATA1_DT/ERPDEVL/DATAFILE].

As part of the script the DEV/TEST ASM was wided clean except for the Control File directory. I have run the RMAN multiple ways (can not be run from production as TNSNAMES/LISTERNER not configured). I have done most things as best I could from Oracle and other support pages on the web no luck. When I run RMAN as suggested I get the invalid/user name when trying ( I believe) the database to shutdown and restart force no mount. I have copied the password file and created the spfile. I can confirm production only has sys in the password file

Howdy, Stranger!
