virt platform OLVM: OS Version: RHEL - 7.9 - 1.0.9.el7

  Kernel Version: 5.4.17 - 2102.204.4.4.el7uek.x86_64

  KVM Version: 4.2.1 - 11.el7

VM machine: Operating System: Oracle Linux Server 8.5 (Server)

  Kernel Version: 5.4.17-2136.304.4.5.el8uek.x86_64

machine has two image type disks used mostly for OS and two direct LUNs dedicated fot ASM configuration

  /dev/sda OS type=image

  /dev/sdb ASM type=LUN

  /dev/sdc ASM type=LUN

  /dev/sdd OS type=image

We observed that after reboot the device names of disks change with the side effect of overvriting wrong disks and looseing data.

We replicated the configuration and the problem was replicated.

Howdy, Stranger!
