Purging Portal. Where to start?

Hello everyone,

I just started looking into purging data from EBS system. Doc ID 752322.1 basically has a lot of useful info, however, quite a few of the purging processes don't have archive as a pre-purge step. Can someone who has done the data purging experience share their process, and give recommendation? Thanks.
