Baselines for Imported XML Projects

I was trying to figure out how to setup baselines for imported XML P6 or Microsoft projects.

This is the scenario,

I can import a project named "XYZ.xml" and was able to set up the baseline for the project, using the Add baseline feature; but for the second project I import (XYZ_Update.Xml), which is an update to XYZ.xml, I cant use the baseline I had setup for the initial import. These projects "XYZ.xml" and "XYZ_Update.Xml" are in the same workspace .

Can someone help me figure out how to setup the baseline for the update file?
