Reversal on Direct Items from a Work Order

Hi! Is it possible to do a reversal or a return to inventory of a direct item which was already receipted and paid in the work order? We have an issue on direct items not being used by the users and are just being stocked up in their area. The management is looking at sending them back to the system and reversing the charges from the original requestors.
