Accounting periods and payment terms

If my accounting periods do not end at the end of the month( i.e Jan ends on the 26th) what will the payment term in A/P calculate if set to end of month plus 2? Would the calculation work with general calendar month Jan 31st plus two or Jan26th plus 2?
