Uncheck Asset Subinventory Flag For Sub Inventory

Hi,

I need to Uncheck Asset Subinventory Flag For Sub Inventory.

I know that update of the Asset Subinventory Flag for sub inventory will only be available if there is

(a) No onhand

(b) No Pending Transactions

(c) No Uncosted Transactions

that solution is complicated because it is a main subinventory with a lot of onhand, Pending Transactions.

I found that i can update this flag also in help>diagnostics>examine and change the value to 2 and save.

the record updated.

What is the meaning use this option ?
