Fixing Siebel Performance on SQL Server

On many recent Siebel upgrades we have noticed Siebel performance on the newer SQL Server versions is much worse then the older version. We recently helped a customer fix such a SQL performance issue. The fix was to simply gather the most robust database statistics possible. In the past we have also fixed SQL Server performance by having the query optimizer to use the older legacy estimation instead of the new estimation. Finally we have had to remove some OOTB search spec that are not needed for the customers since they don't do effective date deleting
