How to transfer balances from old GRE to new GRE for an employee

For Canada, In a given year, when an employee transfers from one GRE to other, can you please let me know what are the effective ways of transferring all the balances(Tax) from previous GRE to current GRE. ALso, do we need to make the tax balances to zero under the old GRE?
