How do we use non-default Java Trust Store with EBS R12.2 JNLP applications?

We are in the process of upgrading from R12.1.3 to R12.2.5 of EBS. We make extensive use of certificates issued by our internal Certificate Authority (Microsoft Active Directory Certificate Services). As such, all of our EBS instances have SAN certificates issued from our internal CA.

This CA is automatically trusted by Windows and applications that use the Windows trust store (including thrid-party apps like Google Chrome). However, try as I might, I cannot get the Java Web Start apps included with EBS 12.2 to look at anything but the Windows client's default trust store. I see this message when I have the Java console enabled:
