Custom Expenses Subtemplate Not Reflecting in Notifications

I have customized the Expense Approval Data Model to add one field not in seeded DM. The field needs to go in to Expenses section which is part of the Expense Notification Subtemplate. I have added the field to the Subtemplate, uploaded Subtemplate to custom folder but the changes are not reflecting in notifications.

I also tried changing the path in the main template's import:xdoxsl function to the Custom folder and I have updated the Profile Admin Value to refresh BIP templates every 15 minutes.

Still the notification triggered from front-end only shows the seeded subtemplate information not my custom subtemplate with added field. Any ideas? I cannot find any documentation specific to the Expense Notification Subtemplate reference in the main template or how to accommodate this kind of requirement. thanks, Matthew
