Mysql-connector-8.0.28 isn't compatible to mysql-5.7 database with Hibernate-5.3.17.

in Using the My Oracle Support Portal (MOSC) Question

Dear Team,

As part upgrading mysql-8 connector to mysql-5.7 database trying to recreate all tables.

Please let us know Mysql-8 Connector is compatible to Mysql-5.7 Database or not.?

Please find below information ,

* Hibernate Version - 5.3.17.Final.jar

* Used Dialect - Using CustomDialect which extends

  org.hibernate.dialect.MySQL5InnoDBDialect.

*Database Version - Mysql-5.7

Its working good with mysql-connector-java-commercial-5.1.39-bin, after upgrading mysql-connector-8.0.28.jar its throwing exceptions.
