Can goldengate installation and replicat process for MS SQLSERVER can be externalize to linux server

Hi,

We have one requirement for data replication from Oracle database to MS SQLSERVER, so for this we are going to use Oracle goldengate. Below is the details for database to setup.

  1. Source database - Oracle database
  2. Target database - MS SQLSERVER
  3. Replication tool - Oracle Goldengate.
  4. Extract and Pump will be hosted on same Oracle database server.
  5. Replicat will be external server from database server where MS SQLSERVER is running.

So can we user linux OS to host Oracle goldengate for MS SQLSERVER and create replicat on linux server to apply data on MS SQLSERVER which is running on windows OS.
