ADF application - how to allow switching datasource at runtime

Hi,

I am required to create an ADF application to replace our Oracle Forms application. I have to allow customers to select their database at login time. what is the best way and how to do this? I have searched and found this http://andrejusb.blogspot.com/2012/08/sample-application-for-switching.html but it does not seem to work.

I'm using Jdeveloper 12c (studio edition version 12.2.1.4.0) and Oracle database 19c.
