Credit Checking during Simple Negotiation Flow (Quote)

Hi,

Is there a way to trigger the Credit check process during the negotiation flow(quote) process?

I.e. We would like the credit check process to trigger and place the order on hold (if the credit check fails) BEFORE a quote gets converted to an order.

From the docs, it appears that credit check triggers when the order is booked, but not before.

Any insights on this question would be appreciated.
