How to rollback a Patch from Patch file system if the Patch application has failed

I am trying to patch my EBS environment with CPU patch from October 2021. My question is:

If a patch fails in the apply phase of Adop in the Patch file system and I am trying to revert the changes made by the patch what steps should be followed so that my system can get back to previous state before patching . Also if on adop phase=abort will be sufficient or will I have to perform restoration in DB also.
