email reponse - not picking up messages from email server after email server upgrade

We have email reponse process which creates a Siebel Activity when email from customer is queued in the designated email account. Even if email server got the email, Siebel is not creating activities.

We have profiles created in [Internet SMTP/POP3 Server] communication driver. But, my server admin said we are no longer using POP3 because of weak security.

I could not locate any meaningful error messages in Siebel log, even after I increased the log level of communication inbound receiver and communication inbound processor to 4

Please provide me any advice. Thank you in advance.
