Best practice for setting up items that are both purchased and manufactured.

The same SKU is manufactured and purchased in the same branch. How to set this item up. We are trying not to create a different part. Is there a way we can use the same part as both a Purchased part (purchased from a supplier) and Manufactured in the same Brach Plant ?
