Benefit Plans rate should “re-age” for age band when Coverage Code changes.
We have a Benefit Plan whose calculation rules include Benefit Plan, Coverage Code & Age Band. Currently the age band is only used to recalculate the rate when the benefit plan changes. The plan’s age band should also be re-examined when the coverage tier change. Currently the Calculation Rules use the age as of "Initial Coverage Date". Because the policy holder is not “re-aged” when coverage codes change, some employees are not having the correct deductions taken from their paycheck.
It is important to note that we only want the plan’s rate to change IF there is a corresponding change to the plan itself or coverage code, not when it reaches a new age band without any other change.
