Page and Field Configurator - make Reason required

I am trying to make the Reason required when using Create Job Action. It looks like it is working (has the star denoting it is a required field) but it allows me to continue without entering a Reason. I am using component HR_JOB_DATA_SUM_FL.

This is our brand new version 9.2 Tools 8.59, image 41 database.
