Phantom ORACLE_BASE setting

Hello,

Has anyone ran into an issue where the Oracle installer sets your ORACLE_BASE to /u01/app/oracle? I don't even have a /u01 mount point on my server. Each time I run gridSetup.sh in silent or graphical mode oracle base is set incorrectly. I've tried setting it manually via a response file, exporting it, and using unset command before each run. Here is the error trying the silent install. Also, I'm attempting to upgrade from 12.2 to 19c on RHEL 7.
