Ability for users to create new dashboards / modify existing dashboards

During the course of our internal conversation, we saw the need for our ECC users to modify or create new dashboards.

We were thinking along the lines of Oracle Discoverer, which has the ability for the user to select the columns to be displayed (from a given dataset) and filter the data. In addition, the user would be able to choose the visualizations that make the most sense to them. Once they are satisfied with the output, they would then be able to save the dashboard under their personal folder within ECC. They would also have the capability of sharing their dashboard at the site / responsibility / user level.
