Exadata RAC to None Exadata Single instance Oracle Home Clone

Is it possible and supported to use the ORACLE_CLONE script to transfer an Exadata Oracle Database ORACLE_HOME to a none Exadata single instance system. From what I have read this is possible but I would like to know if it is supported. We will be going from Exadata to none RAC single SHA database.
