How to change the behavior of a field that extends Shared Region in OAF Page via customzation?

Hi all,

When creating a new customer in Receivables, the "Site Number" and "Country" fields are mandatory, but now i don't want to input any value for these 2 fields.

I tried to implement it on this page via OAF Personalization , since these 2 fields extends an Shared Region, but failed.

Any one can tell me how to implement this via OAF customization? thanks.
