Custom program view output should save in .csv format

Hello !!!

We have developed a custom report ( Data definition and Template as Excel) and (eText Template as well ) ,when click on view output we are trying to get the report to download as a .csv file rather than display the text in the browser.

When we click on 'view output' its directly opening in to the browser instead of asking to save the file.

Can some one advise Is there a setting that can be changed on the report to download the report in .csv format rather than displaying in text browser.
