What is the advantage of using Database Authentication (Advanced mode) in SMC

Hi Team,

I would like to understand the differences between

  1. Database Authentication (Basic mode for development only)
  2. Database Authentication (Advanced mode)

and advantages of using Database Authentication (Advanced mode) which configuring Security Profiles in Siebel Management Console.

The Bookshelf only has information on how to configure in Advanced Mode. What is the recommended approach which configuring the SMC for production application hosted in Azure.

Any inputs would be helpful.
