Manual netting - no grid record selected error

When trying to net an AP transaction to AR, using the manual netting application (P03B455) in E1, version 9.2 R22, I am getting an error stating 'no grid record selected'. This is happening even though the grid record is selected and showing the green check mark.

Please could you let me know what causes this and how it can be fixed.
