Is there any way to populate the DFF information from Events to Draft Invoice

Is it possible to have the attributes (descriptive flex fields DFF) from events, reflected in draft invoices? 

Based on the metalink note (R12: PRC: Generate Draft Invoices Is Not Populating the DFF Attributes from Events (Doc ID 2341007.1) ) it is not possible

Response Doc ID 2341007.1 : DFF are only for additional information and reporting purpose, they are not related to Invoice Generation process. The Draft Invoice screen has a different DFF that is not related to Events DFF.

Is anyone able to figure a solution for this? Any help is much appreciated.
