Supply Demand Inquiry behavior for planning fence rule 'F'

In our current business situation we have many items in high demand and can't make product fast enough to meet demand. Hence many backorders and late order when looking at requested date, our promised ship date and scheduled pick date. The volume of orders is high and we don't go back and update scheduled pick dates once order is entered.

Our MRP process is simple as well. We just run one type 4 full generation each night. To make things easy for planning and procurement, we decided to switch a lot of of our items to a planning fence rule of 'F', value 999 and enter our production plan as the forecast. This helps out procurement tremendously as then they get the real demand needed for production and not a lot of impossible demands when driving by sales order scheduled pick dates.
