How to keep Hyperion Planning Prod and backup system synchronized

EPM 11.1.2.4

We have two instance and we would like to keep the second instance synchronized with production. We have done the nightly data synchronized but struggling for security and meta data synchronization. Is it an easy way i can automate it through nightly batch process. Any advise is really appreciated.
