Error while Mounting the Database

in Database Backup and Recovery (MOSC) 8 commentsAnswered

I am getting the below mentioned error while trying to Mount the Database. I need to enable the ArchiveLog. Could you anyone please let us know the steps to resolve it.

Connected to:

Oracle Database 19c Standard Edition 2 Release 19.0.0.0.0 - Production

Version 19.3.0.0.0

SQL> SHUTDOWN IMMEDIATE

Database closed.

Database dismounted.

ORACLE instance shut down.

ERROR:

ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in connect

descriptor

Warning: You are no longer connected to ORACLE.

SQL> STARTUP MOUNT

SP2-0640: Not connected

SQL>
