Functional currency cost is not within the rounding limit

Hi all-

We just tried to import some transactions via Web ADI and some, but not all of the transactions received the error: Functional currency cost is not within the rounding limit.

In the Transaction Import Review form, looked at the transaction raw cost, the functional exchange rate, the functional rate date and the exchange rate type and everything lined up but I still received the message. We needed to process the transactions ASAP, so I found an article here that suggested populating the Functional Rounding Limit field, so I added 10 for each line in error and that worked.

So my question is, what could account for the error when I verified that Functional Cost = Transaction Cost * Functional Exchange Rate?
