PAY003 SQR is not printing the MICR font on the check

We are on 9.2 and 8.58 Ppltools. Recently got a new printer installed with new signature cartridge. Prior to this printer the checks did print properly with the MICR code and the signature. After the new printer installation the signature is printing as expected (got the escape sequence from printer company and used it in pay003) BUT instead of MICR font/code I see the check having regular text viz

CnnnnnnC AmmmmmmmA zzzzzzzC

Instead of the As and Cs there should be the MICR code.

How do I know if the MICR font is installed on the server OR I am supposed to ask the Printer company for installing the MICR font on the Printer.
