recommended maximum Disk Count in an ASM Diskgroup

Hi,

For my interest: How many disks do you have in your ASM Diskgroups with EXTERNAL REDUNDANCY disks (SAN Storage). I know ASM could manage 10.000 Disks, but what is the best practice for a proper count of disks with external redundancy? So, it would be good to know about your setting. Currently we have 16 disks of 120G in a diskgroup. If we add a disk to this DG the rebuilding/rebalancing/compacting takes up to 40 minutes. Every adding of a disk increase this time. Of course this is expected.
