Automated Media Migration Service- detailed description how inodes will be updated

Hi all,

i am looking for a information source where the mechanism how SamFS Filesystem inodes are updated when Tape copies are moved to different Media Type ( T10kD to LTO8), is described very much in detail.

Because of the fact that the copy 3 / copy 4 Tape volume labels are changing in name and archive files in location, the affected Filesystem- iNodes needs to be updated to provide continuous access to the new copy media’s VOLSER Numbers.
