Siebel Integration with Archiving System

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement to integrate Siebel with Archiving system, so the Siebel attachments will be pushed using an APIs to the archiving system instead of adding them to the Siebel file system, and when viewing the attachments from Siebel screens, to read the files from the Archiving system instead of the Siebel file system.

Is this possible and if yes, I would appreciate it if you could provide us with documents or details on how we can implement such requirements.
