Why is Standby Database larger than Primary in Dataguard

I have configured a data-guard between primary and standby database servers in oracle 12cR2.

The space utilized by the PRIMARY database is 1.1TB but the size utilized by the standby which is in SYNC and zero gap is a little bit more than 1.2TB.

could you please, help me to explain (find out) why this difference comes and how to find out and justify this utilization difference to my resource management team?
