backspace failure

in Oracle Solaris System Administration (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered ✓

Working on a Sparc Solaris 11.3 and I'm having the backspace issue at command line

When you use it, it adds a character instead of removing one

It works if you press shift+backspace, but I'm wondering:

How is this still a bug in 2022 ? What do you have to do wrong, to have this effect ?

Nothing else seems to not work, I'm not ROOT of this server, just a stupid user who wants to use a system efficiently. Using latest Putty as client.
