what is the difference between Party Merge and account merge ? when we use this or that ?

Hi,

Please may you help on the below issue.

We have one customer which was defined on system with two names, now we would like to

merge these two customers to be one customer.

Each customer has one site, we would like also to copy the customer site to the other

customer.

We go to menu and find two options party merge and account merge, so what is the

difference between these two options and when we use this or that ?
