Can we have both read only and read write Oracle Home on one compute node

Hi,

we are planning and testing the uprade of our databases to Oracle 2x. We cloned our existing Oracle Home and want to make the new home a read-only home.

Making an Oracle home read-only with roohctl should not be the problem but we wonder whether it is possible to have both read only and read write Oracle Home on one compute node?
