Serial number generation for Rebuildable Items

Please consult on the next situation.

We set Serial Generation parameter for rebuildable Items to Predefined and defined Starting Prefix and Number. But in some cases sequence while creating a new Asset goes wrong.

For example, we have an item 209501. Serial Genereation parameters set as below:

If we create a new asset number then system suggests the next serial number according to parameters:

But if I close this window without saving, the serial number B209501-010 remains used.

So when we create a new item system will suggest to create item with the next Serial Number - 011.

And as a result we have wrong sequence and unused serial numbers.
