Approval Notification Time Out with missed Vacation Rule

 Hello Folks,

 We had custom solution which generate a vacation rule for employee from one of special information type for delegate responsibility

For some reason its not worked with one employee (X) which delegated his responsibility to other employee (Y) since last 7-July

So the basic employee X -> delegated to employee  Y and vacation rule not generated

 

And some notifications now like absence show Time out with employee (X)

Im thinking about below solution:

 

1. Create vacation rule from system admin from X to Y with start date 7-July

 

2. run request Workflow Background Process and select parameter (Process Timeout) = Yes
