Oracle RAC Active/Standby and GoldenGate suspend for upgrade?

I have an Oracle RAC with HA in active mode and another server in standby, in addition Goldengate replication to a third server. The database tables have a significant upgrade to be applied with lots of DML. Do I need to stop GoldenGate prior to the upgrade script?
