Tracking numbers in shipment pieces

Hello,

We are currently using 9.2 and are working with Transportation. We have the shipment pieces in F4943 after the carton reorg but we do not want to generate tracking numbers in JDE. The tracking numbers are coming from an external software and there is no interface with JDE. It is not possible to enter the tracking numbers manually in the Reference Fields. We can enter the tracking numbers in F4217 but then we have no "link" with the shipment piece in F4943.

Is there a way we can enter tracking information in F4943 without a customization or SQL?
