Employees on Severance....

Hello,

Our organization has employees who are actively receiving payroll/benefits as per terms in their severance agreement. However, we don't want them visible on the org structure or in the hierarchy.

Is there a way to hide them from Org Structure chart, or the search, while keeping their payroll/benefits active? Create a dept, move them to dept, and in essence, 'hide' the dept?

How are other organizations handling severance employees?
