IO Error: Got minus one from a read call

Trying to connect to database on Exadata via SQL Developer, I get the following error:


"IO Error: Got minus one from a read call

Supplier code: 17002"


Also, when I invoke $ sqlplus / as sysdba, I can't connect to the database, because I try to list pdbs and the following error message appears:


"[oracle@proddbadm01 ~]$ sqlplus / as sysdba
