Best practices behind SID/INSTANCE_NAME naming

Oracle 19.16 RAC with DG.

I believe the naming convention for databases is pretty important - I mean it should be consistent.

I was wondering, which one is preferred approach (and best practices etc..).

• Should I use "db_name+inst_id" for SID/INSTANCE_NAME..?
• Or should I use "db_unique_name+inst_id" for SID/INSTANCE_NAME..?

I am asking since, I am new to exadata cloud at customer gen2, and I noticed that this cloud UI behaves very different when creating a new database or when enabling data guard for specific database.
