Operations question - Shipments/Revenue Recognition

Our organization currently does POD based revenue recognition. Due to this process our employees kind of work very hard during ME/QE following up with carriers to get the PODs and recognize revenue in the current period. Does any of the organizations have black out period for shipments during ME/QE so that after the cut off/freeze period revenue will be recognized in the following period. Putting a freeze on shipments does not impact our revenue targets as it is met much earlier every month. I would like to know if there are any other organizations following a shipment freeze period similar
