Is it safe to run RMAN validate against a db with column level TDE?

Hi,

I would like to run rman validate to check for corruption but my db has TDE column level encryption.

Is this safe to do? I am new to TDE and want to make sure there are no gotchas I'm not aware of here. I would hate to run validate only to have it mark all blocks with encrypted data corrupt because of my ignorance.
